What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol (can·na·bid·i·ol). A natural extract of the hemp plant that is legal and non-intoxicating (no psychoactive or addictive effects).

CBD is different from THC, which is psychoactive component found predominantly in marijuana. Our CBD oil is derived from industrial hemp, and produces no, or very low, traces of THC—less than 0.03% to be exact.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

The Cannabis family has several different breeds, yet it is most infamously known for marijuana (“weed”), hence the confusion between hemp and marijuana. Hemp ( Cannabis Sativa ) and marijuana ( Cannabis Indica ) are two varieties of the cannabis plant.

In its application, hemp and marijuana serve completely different purposes. Marijuana, as it is widely known, is used for medicinal or recreational purposes. Hemp is used in a variety of other applications that marijuana can't. These include healthy dietary supplements, skin products, clothing, and accessories. Overall, hemp is known to have over 25,000 different applications!

So in summary- hemp is high in CBD and low in THC while marijuana is high in THC and low in CBD.
